At first rumors of a problem failed to get law enforcement to investigate. Finally though, stronger hints and an unmistakable stench prompted the discovery of foul deeds. Protestations of shock and horror followed; then came scrambling to find what laws have been broken. Soon new laws will be written to ensure this "wont never happen agin".
Sound familiar? Reminds me of years of Republican run Federal Government.

Hmm, let's see; a seven trillion dollar debt, record trade deficits, a possible never-ending war on "terror", spying without court approval, government investigation of one million random internet web searches, the first new government entitlement program since the sixties (Medicare drug program), record spending at the federal Education Department, resignation of the Republican Speaker of the House, corruption of House members by of out-of-control special interests lobbyists, etc.
Yea looks like the Republicans have done a bang-up job! Let's re-elect all of them!
Obviously budget cuts have removed 'sarcasm' class from the hallowed halls of aTm these days.
