Is it any wonder why most everyone (besides the super rich) that reside in the "Blue" states always are down in the mouth about the economy?




That does seem odd since it is the red states that have more vehicle and occupational accidents than blue states. Red states also have more tobacco smokers and a higher infant mortality rate than blue states. In education, blue states have a higher high school graduation rate as well as a lower child poverty rate than red states. You are also more likely to be involved in a violent crime in a red state than a blue one.

Given those facts, one would think it would be the ones that live in red states that are “..always down in the mouth about the economy” - not the more affluent and educated people in the blue states. Yes, odd indeed!
