This is quite unbelievable. In Al Gore's OFFICIAL response to criticism of his personal energy consumption (for just one of his houses, mind you) he touts the fact that he offsets his carbon emissions so that he has a neutral carbon footprint.
In the same response, he then provides a link to a site where you can calculate your own carbon footprint. At that site you can answer questions that help determine your carbon "impact".
Two of the questions are:
1) What is your average monthly electric bill?, and
2) What is your average monthly natural gas bill?
And if you take the time to look at the list of choices in the drop down boxes for each question shown above you will find that the maximum that you can choose for each question is less than half of Al Gore's actual consumption.
In other words, Al Gore's monthly electric and gas bills are so high that they are not even a choice in his own recommended "Calculate Your Impact" calculator.

Does the hypocrisy of the leftists really surprise anyone?

Why is it that the greenies blame the inventions of people for global warming, but claim that descendants of those people would not be able to invent a cure for it?

WTF. I just used that calculator and that 7.5 national average is bogus. I live in a small apartment with small utility bills and an average car; and it says I'm above average?! B.S. If I'm above average, what the heck is Al Gore. Obscene?

Let's see, the rich and powerful get all the trappings of privilege and the little people have to do without for the common good. This sounds awfully familiar.

3.25 Mild climate (San Francisco) and access to good public transportation probably makes a big difference. I drive my 4x4 pickup only about 2000 miles a year.

WOW! I am a 12.5, whatever that means (is that good?)
All this extreme hysteria over global warming makes me ill. Yes, Earth might be warming (or cooling) as it has done for millions of years with or without our help. I think the extreme environmentalists give way too much credit to humans in the overall scheme of things. I am equally quite sure that they would have us all live in tents peddling bikes while trying to understand why the world continues to warm or cool.
