"So remember, when you get on an EZ-Rider bus, and you pay your $2, the citizens of Midland/Odessa paid $4.70, the State $2.73 and the Feds $10.18."
This isn't my quote. Hell, it isn't even from one of my own posts. I just figured it needed to be in big print. Even if I had to resort to thievery to do it.
(Oh, yeah.....hat tip to ospurt).

Well what did we expect. Public transportation paid for by public taxes. Who would have thunk it. No one thanks the smokers for paying a hefty tax every drag they take. Next time you see a smoker then thank them because they pay a lot into the system through their taxes. LOL.

For a country whose Federal Reserves policy is to KEEP A CERTAIN PORTION OF THE EMPLOYMENT FORCE PERPETUALLY UNEMPLOYED FROM BIRTH TO DEATH, ----- PRACTICALLY FREE TRANSPORTATION FOR THESE FEDERAL RESERVES COMDEMNED UNEMPLOYABLES IS THE LEAST THAT THE EMPLOYED WORKERS CAN DO TO UNDO THIS GREAT INJUSTICE!!!!
Assumming a 189 million US workforce, each 1% is 1.89 MILLION ABLE BODIED WORKERS CONDEMNED TO UNEMPLOYMENT
5% emploment, 9,045,000 ABLE BODIED WORKERS PERPEPETUALLY CONDEMNED TO UNEMPLOYMENT!!!

%%% EXPERIMENTAL %%%
correction:
It US Employment is 95% and US Unemployment is 5%, that's 9,450,000 US workers CONDEMNENED BY THE FEDERAL RESERVES TO A LIFE OF NO EMPLOYMENT!!!!!

Experimental Eurasian:
Have you ever stopped to consider tha your 5% of "unemployed" people WANT to be unemployed...?
It's a lot easier to live off of the government than it is to work.

What percent of the voters need to get upset and stop this?

It will not be stopped; it's part of the Death by a Thousand Cuts: not enough to cause an earthquake. People are supposed to be for public transportation cause it's, like, cool to do that, dude, and we're all for the planet, right? We're all in this together.
Anyone who opposes it will be demonized as being "mean-spirited" and "insensitive"--boo words which generally are used by people who are just that, but that's another topic.
Anyone who opposes that is, it will be imputed, against motherhood and kicks puppies. And doesn't wuv the planet.
While Laurie David flies in her Gulfstream V, to avoid the madding crowds she feels so tenderly about, as long as she doesn't have to be around them.
But you must pay.

Are you familiar with the Bell Curve in Statistics? It is called a Bell Curve because it's shape looks like a Bell. But it is actually the invention of Gauss and is also known as the Gaussian Curve.
A Bell Curve usually has a 5 percent tail on the left end and a 5 percent tail on the right side. One of these tails is known as the rejection tail. IN THE ABUSE OF THE BELL CURVE BY THE FEDERAL RESERVES, THE FEDERAL RESERVES AS A MATTER OF POLICY "BEFORE EURASIAN EXPERIMENTAL TO CONGRESSMAN JACKSON ON CSPAN IN 1993-- THE FEDERAL RESERVES WOULD SIMPLY RAISE INTEREST RATES SO 5 PERCENT OF MORE OF THE COUNTRY'S WORKERS WOULD HAVE NO EMPLOYMENT. SO what to do you expect these some 9 millon unemployed workers and their dependents to do???? Eat grasses and cardboard???
Are you surprised if they end up working as beggars, parasites, thieves, prostitutes, concubines, strippers, etc?
If the Federal wants to tighten the money supply so tight, DO YOU KNOW THAT MKFJ WILL END UP UNEMPLOYED? How would you like the Federal Reserves to do that and then people label MKFJ as LAZY????

Experimental Eurasian:
I don't rely on the Feds for anything. My livelyhood is not reliant on the money supply.
I, unlike you, work for a living. You see too many boogeymen underneath the bed. Did you know that the Fed actually CUT interest rates today?
I think you need to get out into the real world more. There is plenty of work out there, for those who are willing and able to work.

As WALSINGHAM and OTTO are my witnesses, what's the US National Employment Rate today Aug 17,2007 while the Fed Reserves "according to you MKFJ" is actually cutting interest rates, -- MEANING "ACCORDING TO EURASIAN" THE FEDERAL RESERVES IS PUTTING MORE PEOPLE INTO EMPLOYMENT?

Experimental Eurasian:
It is NOT, I repeat NOT, a role of government to create jobs or put people to work.
The country you are looking for no longer exists in which that type of arrangement occurred: The USSR...
Perhaps North Korea or China would suit you better. After all, their governments care for their subjects, er I mean citizens, from womb to tomb...

My take: I'd put it in terms that the rider pays $2 and taxpayers pay $17.61. (Our $2 rider is probably not a net payer into the tax system.) If you apportion mass transit taxes across the city population, there are likely 9 or 10 taxpayers divvying up the $18. So an MT Rider passenger should look around at the closest 9 or 10 cars to his bus and thank the drivers for each kicking in $2 to allow his ride to the mall. Heck, I kicked $10 into the mass transit kitty the last time I filled up the 'Burban...
