Local Television Ratings
Newsroom Stew has a post on the local television ratings. Big 2 is not so big.
Which is why they quit referring to themselves as that a while back in favor of "Low Into Single Digits 2" to match up with their local ratings.
Which means low income.
Which, alas, means that they will likely begin broadcasting in HD in 2025 or after someone finally buys them out, whichever comes first.

If anybody cares , it is my belief that ABC2's slow demise in the ratings hinged on ONE event in the past which lost them MUCHO credibility and viewership .
The dismissal of Pamela Hamm .
Everything that came after was simply another log on the fire .
This was truly the beginning of the end .

I bet Fox WestTexas could pull third just by running the feed from the closest Fox Affiliate that has a local newscast, even if it doesn't have any local stories.
It really is sad to see such a legendary channel fall so hard, which is most surprising since ABC has enjoyed some decent network programming lately.
