Going to see "An American Carol?"
I can't imagine this would be a problem here in Midland. Although, according to reports from the Associated Press it really sounded like all of Midland turned out with pitchforks, clubs, and burning effigies for President Bush's visit last Saturday.

Oh Walsingham, you assume too much. If a person expresses reservations about Palin, you believe them to be a Democrat. The fact is that not all of us were on board with her at the convention. She is a tough act to sell. I know - I raise money. The idea is to win an election. This one is not going to be a walk in the park. Obama waves his hand and tens of millions of dollars roll in. This is not the old days for the GOP. We are having to squeeze dollars from those who used to hand out blank checks. At any rate, we are having to make do with what we have. We are fighting this one uphill. Be a realist Walsingham. If you want to see McCain in the Oval Office, quit biting at the heels of the people who are working in the campaign. Get positive, sell the platform.
Gee, I can't imagine why the "We-know-Sarah-Palin-Is-A-Joke-Say-Could-You-Give-Us-Some-Money-Anyway?" approach isn't panning out.

Anon-"The welcome was a bit enemic..."
Is this some new adjective meaning "enema-like? Or does someone who supposedly rolls with the movers and shakers really not know how to spell "anemic"?

As you well know, Walsingham, I have many people using the same IP address. They have many and varied opinions on politics and they all have terminals.
I don't hire people based on politics. I am a Republican, but we have several who are active with the Democratic Party. All are encouraged to participate in various forums. After all we have a big footprint in Midland/Odessa.
If your Jessica's Well is sensitive to differing opinions, then simply remove the comment feature.
I enjoy reading it from time to time and I am in general agreement with many of your thoughts. By the same token, others here do not. It's a free county.

Glad I've finally found soemthnig I agree with!

The welcome was a bit enemic and the fund raising was worse than expected.
