LA Times has a video of Obama literally "palling around" with terrorists
But they refuse to release it.
Did you see that amazing video obtained by the Los Angeles Times of Sen. Barack Obama toasting a prominent former PLO member at an Arab American Action Network meeting in 2003? The video in which Obama gives Yasser Arafat's frontman a warm embrace, as Bill Ayers look on?
I have no doubt that the contents of this video would be an issue for some and a non-issue for others, but the problem is that when it involves The Chosen One, Barack Obama, the LA Times doesn't consider their readers (or anyone else) fit to decide this for themselves.
What do you think that the LA Times would do if they attained a video tape of Sarah Palin toasting and hugging some members of whatever Alaskan seccesionist group that they tried to pin her to? Do you think we would be seeing that video so that we could "decide for ourselves"?
Hell, yes we would. Three times an hour on every cable news show.
But Barack Obama hanging with the PLO with William Ayers...you know, that guy from the neighborhood that Obama barely knows...looking on approvingly?
Just like Obama's redistributionist comments from as far back as 2001 (No, it didn't start with Joe the Plumber).
Just like the Obama campaign website's donation page deliberate crippling of the standard address matching and verification system found on every other e-commerce site on the planet so that it would accept illegal amounts from illegal locations.
No. Nothing to see here. Move along.
The Media has a Transformative Figure to elect and if us rubes out here in flyover country actually have access to all of the information we may screw it all up.

As for Yasser Arafat being remembered in the history books as a terrorist or not, that will be a subject of point of view.
He has been to the White House, Camp David, shaken hands with more than one Israeli prime minister, and has won the Nobel Peace Prize.
Although GWB refused to meet with him, he had no problem sending our Secretary of State to meet with him on Arafat's turf.
I also remember John McCain had no particular problem meeting with Arafat either.

To remind you of the point of the post:
I have no doubt that the contents of this video would be an issue for some and a non-issue for others, but the problem is that when it involves The Chosen One, Barack Obama, the LA Times doesn't consider their readers (or anyone else) fit to decide this for themselves.
Keep in mind that Alaskan secessionists have killed no one, haven't threatened to drive anyone or any country into the sea, and are not tied to literally hundreds of attacks against civilians.
Yet......yet Sarah Palin's theoretical association to them through her husband Todd's theoretical association to them was presented to us. For us to decide, you see.
Mary:
What nonsense? What have I said that isn't true?
The LA Times has the tape. They won't release it. Only an idiot would think that if the tape were incriminating to McCain that the LA Times still would not release it.
Obama's redistributionist bent goes back before Joe the Plumber.
Obama's website donations page deliberately crippled standard address checking and verification procedures and as a result is either going to manage purposefully to hang on to illegal donations or at the very least will use that money as interest free loans until they eventually return it to the ineligible donors...sometime after the election.
Again, if it were the McCain campaign that had taken in millions and millions of unverified donations what do you think the big story of the week would be?
So it isn't nonsense, Mary. And it isn't Obama's fault that the Media is In The Tank for him.
But it is a real problem and it is the media's fault.

Did you even read the LA Times article? The article does talk about Obama and his relationship with Khalidi. The article states "He (Khalidi) is seen as a moderate in Palestinian circles, having decried suicide bombings against civilians as a 'war crime' and criticized the conduct of Hamas and other Palestinian leaders." This does not sound like a terrorist. As a matter of fact, the article clearly shows how "...Obama sees a 'moral imperative' in resolving the conflict and is most likely to apply pressure to both sides to make concessions..." while "...Khalidi added that he strongly disagrees with Obama's current views on Israel, and often disagreed with him during their talks over the years." This sounds like two educated men discussing a serious international issue without dragging each other through the mud to do it. This sounds like a man who looks at all the facts rather than making knee-jerk decisions like the ones we have seen repeatedly over the last two months by John McCain. Lastly and just as important, there is absolutely NO mention of Ayers in the article or the video.

So the LA Times source is apparently a videographer who taped the event without the use of a tripod and just doesn't want the video released because it is just way too jiggly.
Or maybe the video is a mash-up but it used pirated music and it would be illegal to show it.
Or something.
The world can see for itself what the article says about the video, Mike.
What is it not saying? Perhaps nothing. Perhaps a lot.
Can you not see the double standard?
If the roles were reversed and it was a video that could possibly compromise McCain we would get to see for ourselves.
But just as the LA Times sat on the Reille Hunter/John Edwards story....they are sitting on this one. Keep this in mind when you remember that it was also the LA Times that acquired and released a certain video in a manner calculated to submarine the first Schwarzenegger campaign.

Please stop with all this nonsense!
