Obama's political career was launched with Ayers giving him a fundraiser in his living room. If a Republican candidate had launched his political career at the home of an abortion-clinic bomber - even a repentant one - he would not have been able to run for dogcatcher in Podunk. And Ayers shows no remorse. His only regret is that he "didn't do enough."

Many of the rest of The Obamassiah's relationships, only now seeing the light of day, are just as odious. Rezko, Wright, Pfleger. Dodd, Frank, Raines. 2000 donors with no address. China money (haven't we been here before?). Huge kickbacks donations from "sub-prime" lending banks. ACORN and voter fraud. Dead people on the rolls in Chicago. Illegal aliens fast tracked for mortgages. Entire neighborhoods in foreclosure. All foreseeable and forseen. By Bush and McCain. Not the Dems. Not Dodd. Not Frank. And certainly not Obama.
God help us if this inexperienced, self-absorbed, socialist, radical, terrorist-sympathizing, dictator-cuddling (and -envying) Senator from Illinois is elected President.

I think you have hit one of the nails on the head.

The thing is, is that this is a culmination of multiple areas of inner rot launched during the sixties. The watered down and slanted education system... The "nanny state", social welfare, dependency on government... The infusion of "Me! Me! Me!" into our culture coupled with expectancy of instant gratification and an atrophied attention span thanks to television...
Not only does a large portion of white bread America want to seem enlightened by voting for Obama, they never learned the details of fascism in history, having him bribe them with $1,000 welfare checks (and other Socialist canards) seems natural and right, and anything bad reported about him not only seems paltry compared with normal TV plot lines but slips from their conscious awareness in a matter of days if not minutes. They only recall bad stuff about McCain/Palin because it is screamed at them repeatedly, day in and day out. One expose' or interview about Obama here and there is forgotten as soon as the commercial break is over and the next show starts.
I quite agree, especially with the bit about dictator-envying bit. All leftists always have a jones for that good old autocrat. Democracy is so messy. And inefficient.
What is more worrying though is all the middle-class people wanting to display their tolerance and are thereby refusing to think. This is the final triumph of political correctness, until forceable detainment. I will take a wry pleasure in listening to the howls of those who have guessed wrong on whose ox will be gored.
It's been shown that people vote not with their heads but with their class. We now have a class which willfully ignores the Chosen One's thuggish, racist, fraudulent, and just plain criminal connections because they like him and want to seem broad minded.
A complete abdication of the first human responsibility: that of exercising judgment.
