Obama's Half Billion Dollar Campaign
And that is only what his campaign will have taken in and spent by the time it is all over. The value of a fawning, incurious, and completely in the tank Mainstream media has to be worth almost as much, making The One's campaign a billion dollar quest for the White House.
And this was the guy who pledged to take public financing until he decided that he needed to rise above his principles in order to....you know...change the world and spread the wealth around.
When Republicans do this...well frankly, nobody has ever done this...but when Republicans enjoy a money advantage they are accused of trying to buy the election.
When Mr. Obama does it he knows that he doesn't even have to disclose who or where a lot of the money is even coming from because he knows that the Press won't ask about any of this before the election if at all.
Plus, he probably has it on good authority that he won't be bothered by an Obama Justice Department should he win. After all, Mr. Obama has passed through the inner workings of both the Chicago Political machine and the industrialized voter fraud machine that is ACORN and saw no need for any changes to be made to two of the most corrupt political organizations in American history.
So millions of dollars in untraceable and probably illegal foreign contributions will become just another "distraction".
Hope. Change. Judgment to Lead.
The Chicago Way.

Hang tough, Theo. We will get hosed. But. There is still a difference in the hosing we're going to get. McCain can stop the most egregious of spending of a Democrat controlled Congress from the White House. He can only do so much as one relatively conservative Senator.
An undivided Democrat government for the next 2 years minimum, as we will get with an Obama win, is scary beyond belief. I, and many I know, will do everything in our power to "sit out" the economy for the duration in that instance.
McCain can, and I think will, win. I intend on spending a couple of hours on an online phone bank this weekend. I've given all the $ I can and, though I think Texas is a wrap for McCain and Cornyn, can still contribute by wearing out my cell phone on Saturday or Sunday calling to another state that is more in play.
To a point of Walser's post: NOTHING stated as future policy by either Biden or Obama can be believed, at least as to quantity (I do believe that at least those above $250k will get reamed/ higher taxation). Clinton campaigned on the promise of a middle class tax cut, too. I well remember how hard he told us he worked to make it happen, but it just wasn't to be. Joe and Barry aren't that smooth...I half-expect Joe Biden to come into the Rose Garden and say "You believed us!?? Geeze! We were Cam-Paign-Ing! There was no way we were going to do the tax cut! Ha ha ha ha!!! Suckers!!"

Now, now Theo. We are Americans by God! We don't even start to fight until we are well and truly screwed! Problems? Yeah we got em. No matter which way the election turns out. If McCain wins, we still have a corrupt and worse than useless congress, although the MSM and friends have damaged their hold upon credibility far worse than anything we could have done by pointing out previous discrepancies. On one hand, perhaps McCain will turn Palin loose on the Augean stables of congress. On the other, do you think BDS is bad? Wait til you see the nutburgers after they lose this time.
If Obamassiah wins, we might get Carter on steroids, and we have to dig ourselves out of the socialist economic dung heap ala' Reagan and the 80's. We might get America's first elected despot complete with secret police and reeducation camps. Then we will have to dig ourselves out like we did in the 70's. The 1770's.

I can only liken the elite and the MSM, a subset, to the nomenclature of the old Soviet Union. They really believe that they're above the law. And you know what? They're getting away with it.
But Congress is as bad. Look at the pork tacked onto that $700-billion bailout bill.
It doesn't really matter what we do, does it? We're screwed.
