It's the economy, stupid.
No doubt Democrats in general and Clintonites in particular still get the warm fuzzies whenever they remember the phrase "It's the economy, stupid", as their reminder of what to focus on to win the White House way back in 1992.
How delicious would it be for bumper stickers displaying this exact phrase to begin showing up now?

Ask any Democrat, it is Bush's fault the economy is bad, but when ENRON failed due to "lack of regulation" during the Clinton era that was also Bush's fault.

First off..I know the 80s are back, but hopefully the bumper sticker fad will not be.
Perhaps a W(asnt the Republican's fault) window decal would go over better in West Texas. After all, everyone knows one person can't ruin an economy.
I'm sure you will be dismayed when you dont hear echos of agreement coming out of the comment section of Jessica's Well, but I must throw in my two cents. Do I get a wish?
I guess Michael Steele *Uncle Tom* is just a token RNC chairman, now that Rush Limbaugh is the loudspeaker for the GOP. Pretty impressive for a thrice divorced doctor shopping college drop out radio show host. USA! USA! USA!
OH.. and Bobby *Mr. Rogers* Jindal with his big fish boat stories. 2012! 2012!
Your bumper sticker snickers would be drowned out by the laughter our nation has directed towards the what is left of the GOP. You can thank W for that one. New sticker idea!
W(ell, I didn't destroy the economy but I did turn the GOP into a trainwreck).
Wish Granted!

Otim,
Read up on the Enron Scandal:

It failed during the Bush era.
Ley met with Dick Cheney's energy task force Feb. 22, 2001
Dec. 2nd 2001: Enron filed for bankruptcy.

I don't remember any of my taxes going to try and bail out Enron. Do you?
And you can have your two cents, certainly. Just make sure that it is your two cents and you aren't asking me for one (or both) of them....you know...as a stimulus.
Hope. Change. A President who has never held a real job.
It is starting to show.

Reality Check
The axe came down on ENRON during the first year of Bush's Presidency, but the crimes that led to the demise were committed and left un-checked during the false tech boom of the Clinton era.
Lets not forget that it was Ann Richards (D) who first appointed Ken Lay to an official position.

I HATE those stick figure tghins! I thought they were cute maybe the first time I saw them, but they have just been done to deathhhh. It's part of my larger annoyance of people (I know many like this) who allow family life to completely subsume who they are as people. I think the people with the stick figures are the same people who never write about anything else on Facebook except statuses about their children, how much more brilliant their children are than normal children, etc. I understand children are awesome, and amazing, and how badass that you gave birth to them...but you were a person before you had them and you still are after you had them. Celebrate your individuality as WELL AS your kids!Sorry, rant, and again, hope I didn't offend :)

Nice idea but wouldn't work. I have a friend, J., who tells me that it's Dumbya's fault--no matter what happened. I swear I think she believes that he was responsible for the Siberian meteor.
Her husband, who shares my political views, tells me that the election of His O'liness was worth it so now he could crow to her that a Democrat had really destroyed the economy.
Remember the millenarians who sold their all and went to the top of the mountain--waiting for rapture. And when it didn't come, did they give up faith? Nope. It was going to happen, oh, Next Tuesday.
Same thing here.
