Congress is now spending about $3 trillion more than it did in 1945, at the end of World War II, once numbers are adjusted for inflation.

Where can we find the expenditures of Germany, Italy and Japan in WW II?
Of course they're spending more than World War II. It takes a lot of money to wage war on the United States of America.
