Lloyd Doggett is having invitation-only public meetings, which is oxymoronic to say the least. Like Democratic Party.

Pardon if I repeat myself. In the 80s I was doing daywork as a landman in Big Spring and Lloyd Doggett came into the court house pressing the flesh. He wanted the Senate seat which would be won by Phil Gramm.

I knew Gramm would get the Republican nomination so for the first time in Midland I voted in the Democrat primary, just to throw a dead cat at Lloyd Doggett. I literally washed my hand from revulsion at his smarm.

And it was interesting. The poll workers in the Republican primary were well-coiffed and -dressed women, friendly, nice, with lovely manners. In the Democrat primary was a bearded young man--unkempt beard when beards weren't done--with slumped shoulders and hurt, resentful eyes, and a fat, loud-mouthed diesel dyke.

Big difference.
