Get your bowing Obama!
We've all seen this--the White House said that the Saudi King is short and so Barack Hubris Obama had to bow to him. We fought a war over 200 years ago which proved that Americans don't bow, and in particular American presidents. The nastier bits of the world, on seeing this, realized that Obama is a frail reed and instantly showed the contempt that he invited. I actually felt sorry for Hillary, trying to advance American interests and getting kicked, when the President won't. But then Obama is a narcissist, intent on changing the only country on earth which makes him possible, and America is full of his enablers. All prominent narcissists need enablers. The world at large, seeking its own advantage, is not enabling Obama's narcissism. This is if you discount a Europe so culturally insecure that you must discount it. No doubt one reason for Obama's bowing is to curry the adulation which he so needs. After all, most of the world is not as analosculatory as the lapdog, and therefore legacy, media.
And here we have Barack Hubris Obama bowing to the Emperor of Japan.
Some Japanese news agencies refused to run this, because it was considered embarrassing, not only to America but to Japan. And the Japanese, who rely (entirely too much) on American power, do not in any way want an American president who is seen as weak. Like Obama.
But in a capitalist society--for now--there is always a way to make some money:

I saw CNN--remember them?--try to spin this away by pulling out a photo of Nixon bowing when he met Mao. They noted many--how was it put?--"hardline conservatives," I think it was, dumped Nixon as a result. I doubt the bow alone was _the_ reason, but that was long before my time.
If one has lived in Japan or taken J101, one knows there are degrees of bowing. Sometimes this gets depicted at ridiculous degrees of precision, perhaps 10° for a pal but 20° for a boss. A slight dip would be normal and respectful; however, I cannot tell whether this photo depicts a complete fail on his teleprompter's Japanese and Cross-Cultural Understanding courses or a freeze-frame on 0bama's way to kissing the Emperor's shoes to atone for everything horrible the US did to Japan, like introducing Coca-Cola and thereby getting innocent naive Asians hooked on cowboy capitalism and jacking national health costs by rotting teeth.
That Japanese news agencies did not run this is new to me. I expect an anti-US Japanese nationalist rag like "Sapio" to do so, but I can understand why Japan's mainstream media wouldn't. The Emperor remains a sensitive topic to some in Japan and its neighbors, who probably would not appreciate seeing the Emperor guiding the apparent US puppet. Such ignorant fawning or atonement by team member 0bama would be a bit unsettling to those relying on the US and encouraging to those hoping to split from it.
