Monday morning two-fer
Must reading from two wildly different sources.
The first is an article on another borderline treasonous move from the current administration, written by Bob Owens at Pajamas Media.
The White House seems to be on the bewildering path of giving al-Qaeda terrorists who murder innocent women and children more legal protection than the very soldiers that risk their lives trying to bring terrorists to justice. The asinine court-martial charges being brought against three Navy SEALs based upon the word of a terrorist they captured suddenly make a sickening kind of sense.
The other is from one of the few people who could consistently find humor in the failures and disasters (man-caused, almost exclusively) of the past year, Dave Barry.
...Tom Daschle is forced to withdraw as nominee for secretary of Health and Human Services following the disclosure that he, too, failed to pay all of his federal taxes. He blames this oversight on the fact that his tax returns were prepared by Treasury Secretary Geithner.
Either article is a near 100% antidote for the other. h/t Glenn Reynolds.
