The Genius of Reid
The genius of Mark Steyn, focused on the "health" "care" debacle:
...one can only marvel at Harry Reid's genius: government health care turns out to be all government and no health care. Adding up the zillions of new taxes and bureaucracies and regulations it imposes on the citizenry, one might almost think that was the only point of the exercise.

I believe that anything remotely resembling this healthcare bill that gets passed in 2010 is a blunder of epic proportions, beyond even getting involved in a land war in Asia. And we will be paying for it for far longer, even as we live shorter, much poorer lives.

Once I heard Stalin described as the richest man in the history of the world. He didn't own the Soviet Union legally but de facto he did.
Peloski/Reid et al are the richest people in the history of the world, to wield this sort of power and there's nothing that we can do about it.
The BBC had an article on the tea parties, which is one up on the legacy media, but then went on to sneer that they might push away independents. It is the independents who are deserting the Democrats in droves. Let's hope that in 2010 there is an electoral bloodbath.
