What a difference a year makes
A year ago, when President Zobama was first installed, at the Dusseldorf carnival we were treated to this float:

If you can't see it, or just don't care, the girl hanging on is wearing the EU star on blue.
A year later we see in the same Dusseldorf carnival parade

Der Erlöser translates as Savior.
The Germans aren't the only people getting wise to the Mouthpiece for the TelePrompTer of the United States:

I'll bet you that the Germans started building this second float the second that saw President Zobama bowing to the King of Saudi Arabia. Which is a good deal better than planning on going nuclear on seeing the same thing.
Update: I just this of President Zobama farting on the Statue of Liberty. Also from Germany.

The Germans have a holiday called Rose Monday or Carnival Monday or Mardi Gras, which has the parades that these floats are in.

Every day, I get clues of my backwoods cultural disonnections. This Duseeldorf is one. I know of the Edinburgh festival, and that Cannes is pronounced with an "ah". Whence comes these Krauts and their luftballoons?
