When I was in college I took a course, an introduction to probability and statistics, and it was the hardest one I ever had. The professor said that of the two major polling services, Gallup was better than Harris, and the implication was that Harris was liberal and that Harris polled for the paid result. Dr. Thompson was the only Republican professor I knew at Rice so he ought to have known.

Recently Gallup has found, no doubt on the dark side of the moon, evidence that the Democrats and Republicans are even on the generic ballot. No one else believes that.

Indeed Gallup has recently been so unreliable that they are doing themselves in.

Chuck Todd, of NBC, tweeted, "We specifically advise our colleagues to be leery of Gallup. Most, if not all, NBC news shows avoid."

Fancy that. NBC finding Gallup too biased.
