More good news
Polling is interesting, but I tend to think that the real mood of the nation is now best captured by comedians, normally left-wing people, making Obama jokes. And here are some of them:
The liberals are asking us to give Obama time. We agree . . .
And I think 25 to life would be appropriate.
--Jay Leno
America needs Obama-care like Nancy Pelosi needs
a Halloween mask.
--Jay Leno
Q: Have you heard about McDonald's' new Obama Value Meal?
A: Order anything you like and the guy behind you has to pay for it.
--Conan O'Brien
Q: What does Barack Obama call lunch with a convicted felon?
A: A fund raiser.
--Jay Leno
Q: What's the difference between Obama's cabinet and a penitentiary?
A: One is filled with tax evaders, blackmailers, and threats
to society. The other is for housing prisoners.
--David Letterman
Q: If Nancy Pelosi and Obama were on a boat in the middle
of the ocean and it started to sink, who would be saved?
A: America!
--Jimmy Fallon
Q: What's the difference between Obama and his dog, Bo?
A: Bo has papers.
--Jimmy Kimmel
Q: What was the most positive result of the "Cash for Clunkers" program?
A: It took 95% of the Obama bumper stickers off the road.
--David Letterman
And I heard Letterman crack a joke about this being Obama's last term. Yes indeed. Let's hope it is.
The Senate is trending Republican. I heard Dick Morris think that it might be a shift of 80 seats in the house but he's seldom right in his projections. Most interesting is Krauthammer's observation that the generic gap of 10% favors Republicans more than it ever has before.
Juan Williams is nearly incoherent these days, trying to defend the indefensible, and he's not quite the liar of Rubin who will brazenly tell one whopper after the other and refuse to back down. Now Williams is saying that the country is tired of Obama, not the Democrats.
In the last week or so the mood seems to have shifted from anti-incumbent to being more strongly anti-Democrat. I'd take either but prefer the latter.
Let's hope that Nancy et al keep marching off that cliff. And where are the hearings for Charlie Rangel? It's time for some Democrat sleaze to be aired. There's plenty of it.

Hmmm, remember the old days when there was nothing funny about Obama (outside of his birth certificate and his "friends" but that was also a different sense of "funny".) And what about November 2008 when the hack Letterman moaned about having to wait two more months before Obama took power? If things keep going the way they've been going, it won't be long before all of these frauds start claiming they voted for McCain.... or even Palin.
BTW, the Pinko Times has endorsed one of Charlie Rangel's four opponents in the Sep 14 primary. I personally hope Rangel wins. I want to see the NYTimes pick between endorsing the SOB or a sure-loser (for that district) Republican. Maybe Sulzberger can get his buddy Caroline to run there as an independent.
