The Tea Party
My brother sent me this quotation from a Tea Partier:
If we are going to defeat the Democrats, we have to replace the Republicans.
Yes, indeed.
But let's be careful about the timing. If a Republican can be useful in stopping this insane government, co-opt him. But as soon as he feels safe he will, generally speaking, decided to "grow" back to true Washingtonian status, which is an arrogant, know-it-all, money-gouging bastard.
Then throw him out, along with all his sisters and his cousins and his aunts.
If I could have one wish, it would be for term limits for everyone sucking off government. Every single person. Hire out clerking jobs to private enterprise. They would be done much more cheaply. Even career attorneys with the government in Washington need to know that they will eventually have to get a real job.
That would clarify the mind. Knowing that they will be forced to live under the regulations that they egest with such snorts of swinish contentment.

Off topic, but a follow up to a post you had a while back.

West Virginia senate race, the Republican, Raese, was thought to be a lost cause. He has pulled ahead of the sitting governor, Manchin, by three points. It's within the margin of error, but Raese has the Big Mo, the gains have been steady. Looks like Bobby KKK Byrd's seat just might get turned away from the dark side. Hope for Change!!
